Workers involved in ground disturbance activities face many risks. These include trench and excavation cave-ins, hitting buried facilities, and the many dangers that electrical, gas, water, and all other active and inactive buried facilities present. Our Ground Disturbance Level I online course gives you the knowledge, skills and certification needed to safely work on a ground disturbance activity, and contribute to damage prevention. 
 

Our Ground Disturbance – Best Practices course was developed for construction workers, general labourers, equipment operators, and anybody who has some interaction with ground disturbance events that doesn't have a locally endorsed program. The overall course content was developed using industry accepted best practice standards. Learn everything you need to know about the hazards associated with digging into the ground.

This training is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to safely set up, erect, use, inspect, and maintain, both ladders and scaffolds. This training was built based on the requirements of two CSA Standards:

• CAN3-Z11-M81 Portable Ladders, and 

• CAN/CSA-Z797-18 Code of practice for access scaffold.
   

• Following the completion of this course, you will also receive access to the Ladder and Scaffold Practical Evaluation Form and process guide.

This detailed and interactive online course provides a basic understanding of confined spaces in the workplace, the legislation that governs them and the hazards associated with entering them. 

This course helps learners identify potential hazards in the workplace using various hazard identification tools, with the goal of preventing incidents from occurring. The course examines the different preventative measures and proactive reporting methods that can be taken to eliminate or reduce the chance of an incident occurring.
